This week, the remaining 5 contestants of the Australian Idol 2007 get to work with Mark Holden in the preparation for this week’s Australian Hits theme. The performance this week was good but the attention was not on the songs or the performance but rather on one particular contestant. More on that later…
Monday, two out of the five young singers will have a spot for the next week show while the other three, faces the possibility of ending their Idol dream. The bottom three are….. Marty Simpson who was at the bottom 3, three weeks in a row and is his 4th bottom three throughout the whole season, Tarisai Vushe who earned one “touch down” in the season so far and first time in the bottom three, Natalie Gauci.
But the Australian public has decided that it is time to go for…..
Tarisai Vushe, a 20 year old Zimbabwe born auditioned in Sydney, New South Wales sung the song by The Veronicas titled “When It All Falls Apart“.
As I have mention earlier, there was a controversy surrounding one of the contestant… and the contestant is Tarisai Vushe. Apparently, last week, one or few of the Australian public called up the judge Kyle Sandilands and his radio station co-colleague Jackie O on their show and mention that Tarisai Vushe was being “fake”.
It was known to everyone who watches Idol that Tarisai Vushe has her signature “Thank You” despite being told off or criticized or praised by the judges. Despite she was well known to be crazy and out going in the backstage, out of the publics eye. Under the spotlight, she is a sweet and polite girl. That prompt some people to think that she is being “fake”.
I do however, understand why some people agreed with her when they say Tarisai Vushe is not fake due to her upbringing and culture. I do agree she has a good voice as well.
After her “fake” slur elimination on Monday night due to the , Tarisai Vushe blasted Ian “Dicko” Dickson and Mark Holden for calling her “fake” and sabotage her chance to win the Australian Idol 2007. Not only that, she also attacked Marcia Hines for being a “fake” herself, betraying and not siding her when the heat was up. The only judge that she did not attack (so far) is her favorite judge, Kyle Sandilands.
Australian Idol 2007: Now there is 12..
Day Light Saving for Western Australia and some other states are starting this Sunday. It is pretty interesting figuring out if we turn the clock one hour forward or backward. Since for the Western Australians, this would be our second time with the Day Light Saving since it was introduced last year for a 3 years trial.
Few days ago, I asked P.M.I.L about it..
SiwwyPig: So, Day Light Saving is starting this Sunday again… Are we suppose to turn the clock one hour forward or backward?
P.M.I.L: Hmmmm… I think backwards.. Since it is summer..
SiwwyPig: Oh? I was thinking forward an hour…
P.M.I.L: Oh? Not sure… Actually, I leave all this to P.F.I.L to sort it out… He knows if we turn it forward or backwards..
SiwwyPig: hehe Okay…
Later that night, while on the bed, I asked Boss Darling to see if he knew anything about it…
SiwwyPig: Darling… This Sunday is Day Light Saving ya?
Boss Darling: Oh? Is it? I guess it is…
SiwwyPig: So, do we turn the clock forward or backward?
Boss Darling: *thinks* That… I wouldn’t have a clue…
After searching with my helpful tool, Google.. I found the answer I wanted… We are turning the clock one hour FORWARD this Sunday.. That means, one hour less sleep on Sunday.. Bah!
Last night, I got about 15 emails waiting for me when I got back from dinner with the soon to be newly weds in Ten Ten Kitchen of Victoria Park. As I was quickly glancing through the emails, I notice majority of the emails seem to be spam emails. Not sure if because of the ajinomoto from the food in Ten Ten Kitchen that makes my brain else where or what, I accidentally deleted an email I am suppose to open and read.
The email based on its subject, is regarding about blog link exchange. Since I delete it and before you ask, it is no longer in my delete tray, I am wondering the mysterious person could email me again or if the person prefer to comment on this post, that would be lovely… And if any of you interested in exchanging blog links, do let me know as well… Thank you!
Boy, I can’t believe that we are about 5 weeks from the Sydney Opera House finale of Australian Idol 2007. This week, each remaining contestant sung two songs respectively, one chosen by the Judges and one a choice of their own. Performance this week was very good, with majority of them managed to score Mark Holden’s signature “touch down”.
Like previous week, one of them will have to end their Idol journey. With only 6 talents left, it wasn’t easy deciding who to stay and who to leave. But, the Australian public put Daniel Mifsud, Marty Simpson and Tarisai Vushe at the bottom three. Then, the hosts Andrew G and James Mathison announced that the Idol journey has ended for….. Daniel Mifsud.
Daniel Mifsud, a 23 year old from Sydney, New South Wales was chosen by the public in the Wild Card show. Through out his Idol journey, he scored one touch down from Mark.
His first song was chosen by Mark titled “Fragile” by Sting.
He then sung “From the Sea” by Eskimo Joe as his choice of song.
Australian Idol 2007: Now there is 12..
Not sure when was the last time both Boss Darling and I went to church, but I think it was about a year at least. Hence, on Saturday night, I asked Boss Darling if he is interested in going to church. (A bit of background, I always think that Boss Darling should be the one who encourages me to go to Church as he is a Christian and I am not.. But usually, it is me who make force encourages him to go.) Surprisingly he said yes. But I knew his trick of backing out the last minute so I was prepared for disappointment.
On Sunday morning, I got up and asked Boss Darling again . Again, he said we are going to church. Since the service is at 9.30am, I quickly got up and showered. After my shower, I noticed that my little Boss Darling is still in bed very sleepy… My gut feeling told me that he prefers to sleep in rather then go for service. Hence, I told him to sleep and not go to church. Usually, at this point, Boss Darling would be delighted as I let him sleep and not go to church. Somehow, today, it was different. He insisted, yes INSISTED we go to church despite he slept around 3am . He got up and went to shower.
As the church is about 5 minutes drive away, we left around 9.20am. The moment we parked our car , we saw P.F.I.L dropping P.B.I.L off at the church. And boy, both of them were surprised to see us. We been to the church before and hence we knew a few people around. I was happy when Boss Darling said that he would try to make an effort to go to the church every Sunday. Hopefully, it stays that way..
