Engagement Rings..

One fine morning, on a weekend, a guy decided to pull bring his girlfriend into one of the jewelery shops in the Perth city.

Sales Lady: Good Morning. How can I help you?

Guy: Morning.. Hmmm.. We, my girlfriend and I are looking at some engagement rings..

GirlFriend: *feeling happy*

Sales Lady: Oh.. Have a seat here please..

*Couple sat down on the chairs provided*

Sales Lady: Now, which type of diamond are you looking to buy?

Guy: Hmmm.. I don’t know much about diamonds unfortunately…

Sales Lady: Don’t worry.. I give you a quick crash course on it.. *proceeds to show charts of diamond* Now, you see, to buy diamonds, you have to look at 4 types of Cs, which are clarity, colour, carat and cut… bla bla bla… bla bla bla… bla bla bla… Now, you know the 4 Cs to look for in diamonds.. With that in mind, can I ask you what range of carat are you looking for and how much are you planning to spend? *looks at GirlFriend* Is there any particular design you are interested in this display?

Guy: I would like to look at the 1 carat one please… and price won’t be an issue..

GirlFriend: *was excited upon hearing the guy’s word* I like to see this few designs please..

Sales Lady: Okay.. *look at the display and take out few samples of diamond rings* This design are more simple and stunning… It comes with 18c gold or 18c white gold or some, even comes with a combination of both… bla bla bla

GirlFriend: *look at Guy* What do you think?

Guy: *looks at the rings and look at the Sales Lady* How much does this cost roughly?

Sales Lady: This ring with the 1 carat diamond would cost around AUD3,000.. It is a beautiful ring..

Guy: I think I would like to see something more elegant… How much something with a 1.5 carat ring…

Long story short, the couple and the sale lady spend an hour looking at the different diamond rings… from the cost of AUD3,000 to AUD24,000.

Sales Lady: *feeling tired but looking forward for the sale of the diamond ring* This 2 carat diamond ring is one our best designs in the shop… and you would certainly make this young lady here very happy *looking at the GirlFriend*

GirlFriend: *smiles sweetly and feeling overjoyed*

Guy: I am sure she will be… But thing is, I won’t be buying one just yet… Not for another 2 years… But, now I know how much I need to save up to buy a ring for my love…. Thank you very much.. *pulls the GirlFriend out of the shop*

That, left the sales lady and the girlfriend speechless… And no, I wasn’t the “GirlFriend”… This story was related to us by the sales lady when we went to the jewelery shop.. But I am a bit more lucky than the girl…
